The APX80 Rim Clamp Tire Changer

The APX80 Rim Clamp Tire Changer is a premium model designed to allow you to go back and forth between standard and larger sizes. Built-in power helpers allow you to change even difficult fun flats and low profile wheels with minimal effort. The APX80 has a large clamping capacity of up to 30 inches externally, and can clamp wheels as small as 9 inches in rim diameter. The unit has operator friendly controls to minimize training.

• Three position bead loosener provides complete control, reducing wait time and minimizing risk of wheel damage






• Duckhead Roller prevents top bead from flipping over duckhead on large, stiff, sidewall tires



• RoboArm applies pressure to create bead lock and hold top bead in drop center when mounting



• Horizontal power rollers allow easy bead and rim lubrication, loosen top beads, and assist in mounting run flat and low profile tires



• Ergonomically positioned footpedals and helper controls located at point of helper use - minimizes training and opportunities for error



• Optional accessories - RoboRoller gives you extra leverage for large diameter runflat and low profile tires. Integrated wheel lift lifts heavy wheel assemblies reducing both wheel damage risk and muscle strain for technicians.



• Specifications: Rim diameter capacities of 9 to 30 inches external clamping and 11 to 32 inches internal clamping; maximum rim width of 16 inches; maximum tire diameter of 44 inches; drive system available either air or electric; electric drive system uses a 2 hp high-torque, 110 volt, single phase 25 amp motor; air source required (for air model) is a 2 hp compressor, 110 to 175 psi, 15 scfm at 150 psi; air source required for electric model is 2 hp compressor, 110 to 175 psi, 5 scfm at 150 psi; bead loosening - exclusive hand articulated 8 inch dual action cylinder designed for wheels up to 16 inches wide; operating footprint is 90 inches x 85 inches; shipping weight is 1380 lbs.
