The Rear Tractor Mounted Slope And Ditch articulated flail mowers, are suited for grass, bushes, and branches. The unit consists of a a cutting head and a shifting arm which enable the machine to incline itself up to 90 degrees up and to 65 degrees down. There is a slot in the third connection point on the linkage, which enables the machine to follow the unevenness of the ground. The proprietary anti-shock device built into the mowers improves the safety of the operator and of the machine itself, if you hit an obstacle in your mowing path.
These mowers mount on your tractor's three point hitch and are powered by the tractor's 540 rpm pto. You will also need either two auxilliary hydraulic connections on the back of the tractor to run two 2-way hydraulic cylinders (they articulate the mower) or if you only have one auxilliary outlet (can only plug in 2 hoses - one cylinder), then you can use a diverter valve on the one connection. These articulated ditch and slope flail mowers are offset to the right, and are designed for slope and ditch mowing; you can also swing the arm so the mower is centered behind the tractor or offset slightly to the left. The Berti Flail mowers are designed for tractors from 35 to 90 hp, depending upon the series. L Series models (BTAL) are for tractors up through 50 hp; P Series models (BTAP) are for tractors from 75 to 100 hp. We have units available in both series (see the list below), in cutting widths of 53, 57, 64, 72, 80, and 88 inches. All models are powered by your tractor's 540 rpm pto shaft. Models BTAL 135 and BTAL 145 for tractors up through 50 hp mount on category 1 three point hitches, while the rest of the models shown mount on category 2 three point hitches.
