Industrial Cold Saws

The Heavy Duty Industrial Cold Saws are quality made and rely on a heavy cast frame coupled with a heavy duty gearbox and motor to give you years of production. Models are available with 11 inch diameter or 14 inch diameter saw blades, and in manual and semi-automatic models. Saws are available to cut mild steel, stainless, and aluminum up to 3 inch diameter solid round (cut straight on at 90 degrees, 2.262 (60mm) when vise turned at 45 degrees). Shown directly below are the 275 series saws; also available are the CS-250EU manual model and the larger 300 series models. The 385, 425, and 485 models are column type cold saws with the cutting head mounted on a vertical column for maximum precision and effiency.

The cold saws listed are available in two different types: the dual speed, low speed models (120/60 rpm or 52/26 rpm), and the high speed 3200 rpm models. The low speed models only work well on ferrous metals (steel, mild steel, stainless steel). The high speed models only work for non-ferrous metals. A low speed model even with a special blade will not cut non-ferrous metals well and even the special blade will give you short blade life . The high speed saws are only recommended for cutting aluminum and all other non-ferrous metals.

We recommend: That if you cut steel 90 percent of the time or more, then you can get by with 1 low speed saw, and then use a special blade for non-ferrous metals; again realize that you will get short blade life on the special blade. In most other cases, you will need to purchase 2 different saws, one for cutting steel, and a high speed model for cutting all non-ferrous metals including aluminum.
