Model KWC3040

The Model KWC3040 Weed Chopper is a tractor mounted heavy duty string trimmer/mower used for trimming/mowing under fence rows or up next to and around obstacles. The multi-line string trimmer head with heavy .155 trimmer line will cut through grass and heavy weeds.

The Weed Chopper is designed for 20-40 hp tractors and is powered by your tractors 540 rpm pto; it mounts on your tractor's category 1, three point hitch and can be positioned so the gear box is centered on the back of the tractor with the trimmer path being just past the edge of most rear tractor tires, or the trimmer will offset to the right 18 inches from centered position, giving you a reach of about 30 inches to the right of your right rear tire.

• Tractor mounted weed trimmer using .155 diameter string trimmer line (head uses 4 - 24 inch long pieces, when attached they are bent in half to form 8 - 12 inch cutting lines), the trimmer has a 24 inch cutting width



• Recommended Tractor - up to 25 hp with category 1 three point hitch, 540 rpm pto with 1 3/8 inch 6 spline stub shaft on transmission



• Cutting width is 24 inches



• Trimmer head spindle speed is 3130 rpm with a 540 rpm pto



• Trimmer head uses 0.155 inch diameter line configured on the trim head with two 24 inch long pieces looped through the cutting head to give you four 12 inch long pieces to cut material



• Trimmer dimensions: 55 inches long x 21 inches wide x 16 inches high



• Unit weight is 105 lbs.




• Mounts to the category 1 three point hitch of tractors approximately 20-40 hp, and is powered by the tractor's 540 rpm pto; units come with pto shaft








• The unit offsets, and can be positioned so trimmer line stick outs past rear wheels of tractors approximately 12 inches, gear box and pto shafted centered directly behind the tractor, or you can offset the gear box 18 inches giving you approximately 30 inches cutting past the right rear tire so you can extend under fence rows or against buildings without having to drive too close




• The Weed Chopper has the ability to work around any object. The trimmer head floats up and down as well as back and forth allowing the weed chopper to follow the ground contours up and down giving you a smooth cut.
