ProRide Diagnostic Automotive Electronic Wheel Balancer

The Coats ProRide Series is the newest diagnostic wheel balancer; it combines superior ride management with easy to use operation to deliver less downtime, increased productivity and a better quality balance. Multiple options allow customization of the balancer to match the needs of the shop. The unit has an easy to use interface means less operator decisions and an easy to use balancer.

• Features And Specificaitons



• Fast, accurate touchless diagnostics, diagnose issues beyond balancing with automatic radial run out sensor and optional lateral run out sensor



• Sonar reading allows for cycle times short enough to run diagnostics on every spin



• Visual Go/No Go indicator makes runout recommendations clear



• Simple, interactive user interface greatly reduces the number of decisions an operator must make to achieve a first-spin balance



• Weight location recognition - simply pull the distance arm to the desired weight locations to select weight mode



• Touch and Go 3D Auto Data Entry - just set the dimensions with the distance arm and drop the hood and the balancer begins its cycle



• Static on screen display - simultaneous display of static and dynamic data indentifies any excess residual static imbalance



• 2 accurate tape-a-weight applications options with autolocking A&D arm



• Apply weights using the arm, which locks when it is in the correct plane or use the laser to apply weights at the 5-o'clock position, user can choose from two available options based on preference



• Statistics - track the number of daily and total spins, track the number of each weight value and type (clip or Tape-A-Weight)



• Customizable Options - options such as simultaneous gram and ounce display, laser indication, and static on screen display allow for shops to align balancing options with shop goals, such as bay turn maximization or comeback reduction



• There are two versions of the ProRide, the PRoRide Diagonstic and the ProRide Diagnostic PL (Pneumatic Locking). The PL version with pneumatic clamping helps achieve more consistant mounting, also save several seconds per balance on the mounting process. The PL version with Stop-and-Lock has a positioning pedal to hold the assembly in place.



• Unless you use a $500,000 industrial uniformity machine used by the tire manufacturers, the runout measured on a balancer is an estimate of the force variation on an assembly. Contact and non-contact methods of measuring the estimated force variation have been shown to yield the same results, but the non-contact sonar method used by the ProRide balancer are often twice as fast as contact methods.



• Balancing Process - On the ProRide, once the assembly is mounted, a technician can get to the initial spin for a clip/clip balance in 2 steps; simply pull the arm to the rim flange and lower the hood. A competitive unit might require the technician to complete 5 or more steps to get to the initial spin.



• The ProRide PL is enabled with a pneumatic clamping, which can speed up the mounting process significantly
