Pete PTO Powered Wood Chippers
The Pete PTO Powered Wood Chippers are available in sizes to chip limbs 4 inches, 6 inches, and 9 7/8 inches in diameter. These high quality small commerical chippers are designed for doing clearance work in orchards and nurseries, and the two larger models handle heavier timber making them great choices for larger jobs and for use by landscape contractors, cities, and the forest service. All Pete Chippers feature a massive cutting flange that produces a fly-wheel like balanced rotation despite any changes in blade loading. The feed tunnel directs the material into the machine's intake chute in an ideal position for cutting; this results in self-feeding feature without having feed rollers (although models are also available with hydraulic feed) providing you with uniform chip size. A unique feature of the Pete Wood Chippers is that the chip size is adjustable by altering the blade position. If the roughest possible cut pattern is required, two of the cutting blades can even be removed. In addition to the cutting knives, the rotary flange also carries a set of fan blades. The revolving discharge chute and its adjustable deflector enable the loading of chips directly into a trailer or truck.

- Three sizes are available for chipping limbs from sizes 4 inches, 6 inches, and up to 9 7/8 inches in diameter, and available with manual (self-feeding), or with hydraulic roller feed. All models require tractor hydraulics to power the hydraulic power feed mechanism; model HJ10 does have a model with a pto driven self-contained hydraulic system.
- Pete woodchippers are designed for producing wood chips for use in wood chip fueled furnaces or for use in making mulch. All woodchippers feature a massive cutting disc with fan blades to ensure a steady flow of chips. Chip size is adjustable due to the adjustable bottom and side counter blades and adjustable rotary cutting blades.
- Chipping power is provided by the massive cutting flange and the large diameter cutting discs on the HJ4, HJ6.5, and HJ10, of 17, 24 3/4, and 31 1/2 inches in diameter, weighing 99, 214, and 374 lbs. respectively
- Chip size is adjustable on each chipper and chip size ranges in length as follows: HJ4 - 5/32 to 1/2 inch, HJ6.5 - 3/16 to 1/2 inch, HJ10 - 1/8 to 2/3 inch in length
- Model HJ4 has 3 chipper blades, the other models have 4 chipper blades each
- Chip output for the models HJ4, HJ6.5, and HJ10 is as follows: 70-210 cubic feet per hour, 140-280 cubic feet per hour, and 250-710 cubic feet per hour
