Silage Facers With or Without Bucket
Our Hydraulically Powered Silage Facers are available with a bucket with a pivoting frame or stationary frame, and without a bucket with a not pivoting frame mount. The facer drum is direct drive powered by a hydraulic motor on each end of the drum. A front end loader or skid steer with a minimum of 20 gpm hydraulic flow is required to operate these units. The replaceable digging teeth on the drum are designed to give you a shaving action instead of a cutting action which is better for facing the pile. These units are available in widths of 72, 84, and 96 inches and in several bucket capacities.

- The movable silage facer roller bucket combination is mounted on a unique pivoting frame is a dual use machine. You lower the facing drum into the horizontal position for facing (shaving material from the front of the silage pile). To use the bucket to load and carry the commodity, you raise the roller up out of the way.
- The movable facing roller allows you to lower the roller forward to take off more material faster and then come back and load the material in the bucket.
- Another verison is available that has the silage facer drum mounted stationary at the top of the bucket. Without the pivoting mechanism, you can save approximately $500.00 on the initial cost. Instead of pivoting the facer roller down hydraulically, you simply tilt the bucket down so the facer roller contacts the pile.
- If you want to mount the facer roller mechanism (comes complete with hydraulic motors, requires 20 gpm to operate) on your loader arms, you have the option of purchasing the facer roller mounted on a frame, complete with the motors. The frame is available in widths of 72, 84, and 96 inches wide, and extends forward from the mounting point on the end of the loader arms 4 ft.. This will attach to a quick attach mounting frame and you will tilt this up or down into postion like you would your bucket.
