Our Hand Brake Sheet Metal Brake and Box And Pan Brakes are built to the highest quality specifications with quality features such as hardened bending rails and heavy all steel frames with heavy duty truss rods and braces for long life and less deflection across the apron when bending; the box and pan brakes have hardened fingers that produce minimal deflection, even when bending boxes up to 4 or 6 inches deep depending upon the model. The hand brake is available with a 48 inch wide bending capacity, and the Box and Pan Brakes are available in widths of 48 inches (2 models), 72 inches, 96 inches, and 120 inches. Models marked with an "E" designation are entry level models designed for the hobbist or small shop. Models without the "E" are heavy-duty models.

In addition to the manually powered box and pan brakes, we also have available the model BB-4816M electric powered magnetic clamping brake. This unique box and pan brake can bend boxes or pans to almost any depth since it does not rely on conventional finger depths. Model BB-4816 magnetic sheet metal brake can bend items impossible for traditional box and pan brakes such as totally enclosed boxes, triangles, alternate bends on varying planes, round items such as scrolling applications, and more.

The BB-3616E sheet metal bender has an assortment of fingers to allow for fabricating various depths and sizes of boxes and pans out of 16 gauge mild steel or thinner. Its heavy-duty construction consists of plate steel and an electro welded frame work that allows for crisp bend angles even at the middle of the beam at full capacity. The rugged frame consists of heavy plate steel that is electro welded to more support beams. The HB-14418 sheet metal bender has a 12’ long beam and can bend 18 gauge mild steel and 22 gauge stainless steel. At 12’ long this massive bender is made up of an electro welded steel plate beam, apron and support frame members. It is further supported by a very heavy-duty truss rod system that ensures crisp bends at full capacity even in the middle of the beam and apron.

This straight brake has a removable angle support so the operator can get very close to the previous bend. Heavy counter weights are adjustable for different materials. This is very important if you’re doing heavy production of a specific size and material. The beam gap can be adjusted by separate hand wheels on both sides of the machine.

Like all Baileigh sheet metal brakes, the HB-14418 has induction hardened bend dies. The heavy clamp arms use a cam motion to lift the massive beam as well as lower the beam to clamp the material. This sheet metal brake has a degree of bend dial as well as a stop rod bend angle system that allows for repeatable bends every time.

The HB-15722 is a very large sheet metal brake considering it can accept sheet metal up to 13’ long. It has a 22 gauge mild steel and 26 gauge mild steel capacity. This is the perfect straight brake for a production HVAC shop that installs a lot of duct work. Being so long it will save the shop owner tons of extra work and make each job more profitable.

This sheet metal brake has a heavy duty frame work that is supported by very large support trusses. The main machine is made primarily of electro welded steel plate. The beam gap adjustments for different materials and thicknesses can be adjusted by separate hand wheels. The brake has movable counter weights to assist lifting the apron.

The bend die on the top beam is induction hardened so it provided crisp bend angle for years of service. This metal bending brake comes standard with a degree dial with indicator and a heavy stop rod system for repeatable bend angles each time.

• Powerful magnet in the bending bed can be engaged by foot pedal or push button control to hold down a mild steel clamping bar of almost any configuration across the bed width or bed length. The unit comes with product supports and adjustable and adjustable back gauges for production runs, as well as a simple to use gap adjustments on the standard clamping bars for different sheet metal thicknesses.



• To initiate a bend on the BB-4816M magnetic brake simply put a piece of material between the clamping bar to the depth required, hit the foot pedal control that softly clamps the material (this is done for operator safety so fingers are safely out of the machine) allowing for any repositioning, once ready, lifting the leaf arms engages full magnetic power (6 tons) holding the material in place as the leaf arm makes the appropriate bend. One of the biggest advantages of this type of box and pan brake is that the magnetic power of 6 tons is consistent across the entire beam allowing for very crisp bends even in the middle of the machine.
