The Tanaka Walk Behind Lawn Edger is powered by Tanaka's exclusive PureFire Two Stroke low emission engine which gives you 70 percent lower emissions, and up to 30 percent increased fuel efficiency; it also has a solid steel drive shaft instead of belt drive. In addition to the innovation of direct shaft drive, the long life Tanaka engine features professional grade engine components, with a two stroke engine that is C.A.R.B. Tier II, and EPA phase 2 compliant. All Tanaka engines feature forged steel connecting rods instead of stamped steel, and they have chrome plated cylinders and large fiber-lined clutch shoes to ensure more power transfer and less slippage when compared to other models using metal shoes. The TLE-600 Tanaka edger is a high quality, light weight edger designed for professional use (not available in California).
