SG Series Tractor Mounted Stump Grinders
The SG Series Tractor Mounted, PTO Powered Stump Grinders are economical units designed for small and medium sized tractors (although Model SG-36 is rated for 100 hp maximum), and works well for most jobs. Both models have a maximum cutting depth below ground of 10 inches. There are 2 two-way cylinders on the unit (swing and up and down cylinder), requiring 2 auxilliary hydraulic valves (so you can plug in 4 hoses). The unit operates off of the hydraulic controls you already have on your tractor. If you do not have 2 auxilliary hydraulic valves, you can purchase your own diverter valve, or the optional electric one we have listed in the accessories section below.

- Durable carbide tipped cutting teeth are easy to replace
- Unit is controlled using the hydraulic controls on your tractor. This unit has 2, two-way cylinders so you need to be able to plug in 4 hoses. If you only have 1 hydraulic outlet on your tractor (only able to plug in 2 hoses), then you will either need to supply a mechanical or electric type diverter valve so you can switch the hydraulic flow back and forth between the two cylinders. We have an electric solenoid valve available and listed below. If you want less expensive, a manually operated diverter valve these are less expensive.

- Grease zerks provided at major pivot points for extended service life
- Standard needle valve for precise control of cutting feed rate for best cutting action (control of flow rate to swing cylinder), wheel rpm is controlled by pto speed

- Rubber deflector helps control chips and debris during grinding
- Parking stand for easy storage is standard
