TC8-FL And TC8-SS Tree Cutters

The models TC8-FL And TC8-SS hydraulic tree cutters mount either on your skid steer loader, or on your tractor loader depending upon the model. Depending upon you requirements, the TC8-FL for tractor front end loaders comes standard without the electric diverter valve, so it is less expensive. If you have enough auxilliary hydraulic outlets on your tractor (two), so you can plug in four hoses, you can order it standard without the valve. If you don't want to use both outlets, or only have one, you can order the optional electric diverter valve for your unit. The TC8-SS model for skid steer loaders is priced with this valve as most skid steer loaders only have one auxilliary outlet (so you can plug in 2 hoses).

  

The first step then is to decide which model - to mount on a tractor loader, or skid steer loader, and if you need the diverter valve on the tractor model, order that as an option. If you order the TC8-FL for tractor loaders, and have a pin type mounting bucket on the loader arms of your tractor, then you don't need anything else. If your tractor's loader arms are quick attach compatible, then we will credit you for the standard mounting brackets, and you can go through our list on this page of quick attach mounting brackets, and order these as an option.

If you have a Skid Steer Loader that is quick attach compatible (most are, only older ones aren't, call us if this is the case), you will order the TC8-SS and this will be all you need. The TC8-SS for skid steer loaders is already priced with the diverter valve.

A unique feature of the TC8 series tree clippers is the boom the tree clipper head is mounted on. The boom is supported by brace which runs under the boom. The boom assembly and brace weldment are bolted to the mounting frame that the brackets attach to. Because the boom weldment is bolted to the mounting frame with U-bolts, the tree clipper can be slid left to right along the frame, and mounted either to the left or right of the operator, or in the center easily depending upon the operators requirement. The mounting system on the TC8 models is more universal than on some other clippers.

The TC8 series tree clippers cut all hardwoods up to 8 inches in diameter, and can be mounted on most tractors of 45 pto hp or larger, or most skid steer loaders. The TC8 tree clippers rotate up to 113 degrees, and can be used for either tree cutting or limb pruning. For either application, the minimum hydraulic pressure required is 2000 psi, so make sure your skid steer loader or tractor loader is in that range (less hydraulic pressure will reduce power of the clipper jaws and cycle time on the clipper jaws and rotation cylinder).

• Mount either on your skid steer loader or tractor loader, tractors approximately 45 hp, in either case, minimum 2000 psi hydraulic pressure is required, and make sure your tractor or skid steer is properly counter balanced


• The boom weldment is bolted to either the side steer mounting frame or the tractor loader mounting frame so that the boom can be shifted to the left or right so the boom can either be mounted on the center or left or right.












• Model TC8-FL: Tree cutter for mounting on tractor loaders, standard model as priced comes with universal pin type mounting brackets, if your loader is pin type, you can use these pin-type channel brackets as shown in the above drawing and don't need to purchase additional brackets. If you need quick attach mounting and/or need the exact bracket for your loader, then purchase the optional brackets from the charts listed at the bottom of this page. • UMB-1 Delete: Order this option, the deletion of the universal pin type mounting brackets if you are ordering the tractor loader version TC8-FL and your loader is a quick attach type. You will subtract the amount shown, and then add in the cost for the appropriate bracket set listed below. There are a couple of applications where you are just ordering bushings to be used with the standard brackets, so make note of that, you wouldn't subtract is amount in that case - Subtract $89.00 to delete the pin type mounting brackets


• Optional Front Loader Brackets Available


• PLEASE NOTE: The brackets below that you would purchase for the loader model above are universal type brackets. They have to be either welded or bolted to the mounting frame, in the correct position to fit your loader arms. They normally can be bolted or welded to the frame rails without a problem, but you may have to do some fabrication.
